Denplan or Private payments

Here at the Broad Street Dental Surgery, we offer Pay as you go treatment or payment plans by Denplan.

We know from experience that dental payment plans promote regular attendance.  By visiting us at the recommended intervals we can help reduce the need for treatment in the future, as well as the worry of getting a large bill for treatment that you weren’t expecting. As such, we encourage all our patients to join one of our Denplan payment plans.

Denplan Care is a monthly payment plan which helps you to spread the cost of your routine and restorative dental treatment.  Exclusions include specialist treatment, orthodontics, implants or cosmetic dental treatment.  The amount you pay is decided by your dentist and is based on your current oral health, your risk of dental problems in the future and how much dental treatment and time at the practice you will need.  After an initial assessment of your oral health you will be placed into one of five fee categories.  Your fee will be reviewed annually and may change if the amount of treatment or time you require also changes.  The majority of Denplan Care patients at Broad Street pay between £25 and £30 per month.

Denplan Essentials is a maintenance plan designed to encourage patients to attend regularly.  It includes a set number of examinations and appointments with the dental hygienist per year and a discount on our private fees for routine treatment.  Denplan Essentials starts from just £7.95 per month with group discount available when one Direct Debit covers more than one member at our practice.

We provide dental care for the children of registered patients free of charge until their 5th birthday.  Thereafter we offer Denplan for Children for just £8.45 per month which provides both routine and restorative dental care.  It does not include orthodontics or cosmetic treatment – please ask us for more information.

All our Denplan plans at Broad Street Dental Surgery can also include Denplan Supplementary Insurance which provides:

  • Temporary emergency treatment when you’re more than 40 miles away from the practice in the UK

  • Overseas temporary emergency dental treatment

  • Worldwide dental injury cover

  • Hospital cash benefit if you need to stay overnight in hospital under the care of a dental or maxillofacial surgeon

  • Cover towards the cost of a dentist opening the dental practice to provide treatment outside normal surgery hours

  • Mouth cancer cover (cover not immediate)

  • Access to a 24-Hour Worldwide Dental Emergency Helpline

If you choose not to have the Supplementary Insurance your monthly fee will reduce by £0.60.  Please ask us for more information.
